The story of a blog.

This is the story of the blog that was not on the internet.
It wanted to be on the internet but the writer had nothing to say to the world on the internet. She was much too timid to state her opinion on anything. She had not original ideas and no articulate way of expressing them. Her mind was mostly filled with day dreams not fit to see the outside world. She read biographies and fiction of all kinds (except romance novels) and sang and drew and made up silly stories all day long while her friends got jobs and went to college. She got up at 7:00 and went to bed at 10:00 while her friends stayed up till the small morning hours 'hanging out' and studying. She played with her younger sisters and read children's books out loud to them. She played pirates and gypsies without even the excuses of little sisters. She sang in the shower. She never had a crush.
She liked to write but never to be read. She wrote about everything that happened in her life that she found interesting. If the book she was reading made her laugh, she wrote about it. Sometimes she thought of something in a new way and wrote it down. Sometimes she wished that she could write poetry and wrote what she would write about if she could write a poem. Sometimes she had a picture in her and she tried to put it on paper. She usually failed and then she would complain about it to her computer. When she was having a bad day she wrote about how much better off she was than her favorite characters in books or she just ranted about how annoying life can be. She wrote about her hopes and dreams and what God thinks of them. She wrote about the people she knows and why they are such mysteries. She saved all the things she typed on her computer under a password.
You see, she was not much of a talker. Most of her life happened in her head and only came out if she felt like typing. Like Anne of Green Gables says 'if you only new all the things I want to say but don't.' It was much easier to say things if she did not have to say them out loud. It was easier to express things when she had as long as she needed to find the right words. She was like a baby before it can form words into sentences; lots of nonsense with a few words mixed in.
Then one day she was talking to her friends about blogging. They all had blogs and thought they were very useful and fun. The writer of this blog was not sure what the criteria for a blog were. What makes a blog different from an online journal? What are you supposed to write about? Her friends gave her vague answers. There did not seem to be any rules to it. She thought about her locked document on her computer...

Well, as they say, the rest is history. The writer obviously got herself a blog like her friends (even if she did not have a job of a college education like them) and this is it. The final hurtle was getting up the nerve. She finally decided that the chances of anyone actually reading what she wrote were so slim she might as well put her blog on the internet just so she could say that she had a real blog and not just a document on her computer with lots of nonsense in it.

So if you read this, don't let on. She might have to kill you. After all, this is the inside of her mind. People should not get to see the inside of other peoples minds. But in any case, you probably wont stay long. It's kind of dark in here.

There is nothing "dark" in that head. There is a lot of light in there!
